About this Event
Block printing is a traditional textile craft, recognised by Heritage Crafts UK as an 'Endangered' art form. This exclusive workshop offers an opportunity to experience and learn this heritage skill in a relaxed, modern setting.
Looking for a creative workshop in Oxford? Discover the art of hand-carved wooden block printing in a premium, beginner-friendly, 2-hour session and leave with your own personalised piece.
Whether you're trying something new or exploring creativity again, this session is designed to help you unwind, learn, and create freely.
What you’ll do
In this beginner-friendly block-printing workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of textile printing with a curated selection of pre-carved wooden blocks. Each block has been handcrafted by skilled artisans, making every print unique.
You’ll explore floral and geometric patterns, experiment with colour and layering, and build your own design step by step.
You’ll start by testing ideas on paper before printing your final piece on fabric.
A complimentary cotton cushion cover and pouches included, or you’re welcome to bring your own fabric (cotton or linen, including T-shirts or napkins) to personalise.
