ARTE KANELA FLAMENCOArte Kanela Flamenco is one of Australia’s most powerful flamenco ensembles, delivering performances that are raw, intimate, and electrifying.
Founded in Melbourne in 1990, the company brings over three decades of artistic excellence to the stage, blending deep traditional roots with bold contemporary expression. Their work has captivated audiences at major festivals including Woodford Folk Festival, WOMADelaide, and Sydney Festival, as well as collaborations with leading artists from Australia and Spain.
At its core are brothers Richard and Johnny Tedesco, internationally respected flamenco artists whose music and movement drive the company’s unmistakable energy. Joined by acclaimed dancer Chantelle Cano, the ensemble creates a performance that is both technically masterful and emotionally charged, supported by powerful live cante from guest singer Curro Vicente.
