Take a closer look at “Roll Call: Two Hundred Years of Black American Art” through the lens of design and visual storytelling. This ArtBreak program features James Williams, the Museum’s Director of Design and Technology, who will share insight into the creative process behind the exhibition’s catalogue, including how visual elements shape interpretation, storytelling, and the presentation of artists across the exhibition.
Following the talk, continue the experience with a guided tour of the exhibition led by Jade Powers, Hugh Kaul Curator of Contemporary Art. The tour will offer additional context on key works and curatorial framing, creating a cohesive connection between the catalogue’s design and the works on view.
Please note that this ArtBreak will be held in the Roll Call exhibition, therefore the registration fee also provides entry into the exhibition.
Members receive 50% off ticketed exhibitions. For orders of ten or more tickets, please contact [email protected] or 205.254.2571.
