Learn from a professional to paint a portrait at Sudwerk Brewing Co. - beginners welcome!
Join us for a creative and inspiring art workshop where you’ll explore the process of bringing an image to life through a variety of artistic techniques and mediums. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a beginner, this session is designed to embrace all skill levels while blending structure with spontaneity.
You’ll start with a provided wood panel and experiment with both wet and dry media—like charcoal, pastels, and acrylic paints—learning how to layer, seal, and add depth to your work. Guided by a focus on portraits (but not limited to them), the workshop will cover value control, abstraction, color harmony, and more.
This is your chance to create a finished piece that’s as unique as you are while embracing the beauty of “happy accidents” in art. Supplies are provided, and one drink* included with your ticket!

About the Artist
While attending the Otis College of Art and Design, Brandon developed a passion for figure drawing and painting. Working in primarily oil and mixed media, Lim interplays passages of abstraction and form to appreciate beauty and exploration of the unknown.
He now works from his studio and teaches drawing/painting at SOBYC; The School of Building Your Craft in Woodland, CA.
