Judy "Mother Eagle" Mansfield (b. 1956; Payson UT), a Native American Master bead artist from the Yakama/Shoshoni tribes. She is a multi-talented cultural performer, storyteller, and master beadworker who shares the rich traditions of her heritage through dance, art, and spoken word.
Judy is a gifted storyteller. Known for sharing Native legends that promote self-esteem, resilience, and anti-bullying values. Her storytelling is deeply personal. She is related to Sacajawea by marriage and also to “Mother Eagle”, who is a Bear River Massacre survivor. These connections bring authenticity and historical depth to her presentations.
Judy is also a master beadworker, passing down the intricate and meaningful art of Native beadwork to students of all ages. She has taught in schools and workshops across the region. She uses her craft to connect with others and inspire a deeper appreciation for Native American traditions and artistry.
Workshop will be held at the Springville Museum of Art.
