About this Event

Guided by Leila, the session will begin with simple techniques for sketching and illustrating cats, helping you capture their expressions, posture and personality. In the second half, each guest will choose one of our resident rescue cats and imagine a small scene from their life back in Istanbul — the streets they wandered, the cafés they may have visited, their favourite sleeping spots or the little corners they once called home.
A relaxed and heartwarming afternoon of creativity, storytelling and cats.

🐾 House Rules
Our workshop sessions take place in the shared home of our resident rescue cats. These guidelines are here to ensure a calm, safe, and respectful experience for both humans and cats.
🧘 During the Session

• Please follow the guidance shared by the instructor at the beginning of the session, including any house rules relating to the cats.
• If at any point a cat comes too close and you feel it could become distracting or unsafe, please inform your instructor.
• You may gently redirect a cat if you feel comfortable doing so, but this is not expected. The instructor or a member of staff will be available to help if needed.
• Please do not pick up, grab, or carry cats around the room.
• Try to ignore the cats during the active workshop and allow them to go about their own business — resting, observing, or playing independently.

🌿 After the Workshop (Relaxation Time)
After the practice we allow time for rest and gentle interaction with the cats.
• Sanitise hands before interacting with cats
• Do not disturb cats who are sleeping or resting
• Do not pick up or chase cats
• Allow the cat to approach you first
• You may gently stroke them only if they appear comfortable
• Please give cats space and allow them to move freely
• Do not feed the cats (they are on specific diets)
• Please keep voices soft and noise levels low
