Suzanna and I are excited to show our newest work at FAVO Studio #143. This former motel was turned into a collection of art studios thanks to the efforts of the Park Lake Presbyterian Church. Today it's a thriving community of 30 artists, each of whom brings a unique style of work.
There is a community open house / art sale on the first Friday and Saturday of each month, 5 - 9 p.m.
I'm honored to be sharing the studio with my long-time friend Suzanna Kaye, who will be bringing her 3D and layered artwork to share with our guests -- which make great holiday gifts, btw!
The address listed above (718 Highland Ave, Orlando, FL 32803) will get you to the entrance of the parking lot. FAVO is in the back, closer to Irma St. If you arrive later, and the parking lot is full, there is street parking nearby.
Many artists provide complimentary wine / beer / snacks (and we will have plenty of champagne and food to celebrate our Grand Opening), but it's also not a bad idea to bring a traveler if you have a specific beverage you prefer to enjoy art with.
We are in Unit #143, which faces the parking lot and has a red door. We'll probably keep the door closed to keep the AC in, but please stop by and say hello! We can't wait to show you our new space, and share a toast to this fun new venture!
NOTE: Setting expectations, it's a former motel room, so it's pretty small... 205 sq ft or so. So if it's a bit crowded, please be patient with us. Stop in for a glass of bubbly, then go see all the other artist studios!
