Art in the Park is a juried fine art and fine craft event held in beautiful shade-filled South Park (12th and Massachusetts) on the south end of vibrant downtown Lawrence, Kansas.
125 artists booths, 10 Bands and a wide variety of sweet and savory food trucks will be set up for this two day event!
When: September 19th and 20th, 2026
Saturday 10am to 6pm
Sunday 10am to 5pm
Art in the Park is a Lawrence tradition dating back to 1964 and is the Lawrence Art Guild's premier fundraising event. Winning "Best Event" 5 times since 2019 as voted by the public in the "Best of Lawrence" contest, Art in the Park is a Lawrence favorite. Ten musical groups play on the gazebo and food vendors provide a wide variety of sweet and savory options. South Park is one of the most vibrant and calming environments for an art fair. It is guaranteed you will see find that one piece of artwork that either takes you back, surprises you or captures your heart.
Lawrence will also have a sneak peek of their artwork in the Phoenix Gallery sponsored "Art in the Park Preview Show.” With an opening reception to be held during Lawrence's Final Friday on August 28th.
The Lawrence Art Guild is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to support local artists and promote art in the community and provides workshops, exhibits and show opportunities for its members. Due to the proceeds made at Art in the Park, the Lawrence Art Guild has donated over $30,000 to local high school art programs over the past six years.
The deadline for artist applications is May 31st. All applications are taken through Zapplication, an online application service.
