Art Hop 2026 at Slate

Join us for Art Hop 2026 on Friday, September 11th from 4–8 PM, kicking off a full weekend of art at Slate.
This year's headliner is Katie Babic, a Waitsfield-based printmaker known for pulling one-of-a-kind tree-ring prints from Vermont hardwoods. She'll be on-site Friday evening running the entire process live — torching the stump, working the paper, and pulling the finished print — weather permitting. Katie will also be debuting an Art Hop-exclusive piece, available only during the event.
She's joined by sculptor and ceramicist Joe Smith, whose ceramic and mixed-media work rounds out the weekend's offerings.
Both artists will be on hand Friday for a meet-and-greet, with wine and refreshments served throughout the evening. New work from both artists will be on view and for sale in-store all weekend, September 11–13.
