Topic: Louis Sullivan presented by James Bockmeier
Date: Thursday, October 22, 6 PM (Doors open at 5:30 PM)
Description: Louis Sullivan was an important architect of the late 19th and early 20th century. He is known for exquisite surface designs on his buildings, but he was also the one who developed the contemporary silhouette of a skyscraper. He was also an early, important mentor to Frank Lloyd Wright. We are lucky to have access to many Sullivan’s buildings in both Chicago and St. Louis. James will focus on the St. Louis structures.
