Kids ages 5-15 can explore the art glass in the Dana-Thomas House and create a tie dye project using their favorite glass colors.
About this Event

Youth ages 5-15 and their parents/guardians are invited to join us for this new program to learn about the colors and designs found in the Dana-Thomas House. After taking a short tour through the house to explore Frank Lloyd Wright's art glass designs, your guide will lead you to the courtyard where youth will choose their favorite art glass colors and tie dye their own "Everyone Belongs" shirt!

All supplies and instructions will be provided. Available shirt sizes include children's medium, adult small and adult medium. Parents/guardians must stay with their child during the program. Please note, adults may help their child with the tie-dye project as needed, but adults will not be making their own shirts.

Please meet your guide at the front door of the house on Lawrence Avenue at 10:30 am to begin your Dana House adventure! Set aside 2 hours to be sure you can enjoy the full experience.

Parking

A free parking lot is located on the northeast corner of Fourth Street and Lawrence Avenue, immediately east of the house. The parking lot on Cook Street, behind the house and just west of the railroad tracks, is also available. Please note the lane from Lawrence Avenue to the parking lot is reserved for buses only; other vehicles should not park in this area. The alley between the carriage house and the railroad tracks is not a parking area; vehicles parked there may be ticketed and towed by law enforcement.

Photography Policy

Photography, video and other recording are limited to the exterior of the house only; photography, video and other recording are NOT permitted inside the house. A gallery of photos of the site, including interior images, is available at
