The Largo Art Association (LAA) will host its second Art Giveaway on Friday, December 19, from 11am to 1pm at the Largo Community Center. Building on last year’s event, which supported residents who experienced significant losses during Hurricanes Helene and Milton, this year’s giveaway is intended for those who have rebuilt, or are still in the process of rebuilding, as well as anyone who appreciates local art. All community members are welcome. Guests will have the opportunity to select artwork donated by LAA members, with pieces intended to offer comfort, inspiration, and a sense of renewal. Artwork includes paintings by Ravi Agarwal, a retired physician and longtime artist who is downsizing as he approaches his 90th birthday, along with works by accomplished artist Dominque Comino.
Additionally, guests are invited to participate in a raffle for the chance to win an animated Victorian Village piece that plays music, lights up, sure to bring life and cheer to winners' homes.
Through this event, LAA members aim to support resilience, encourage connection, and contribute to Largo’s vision of being a welcoming and vibrant community.

The Largo Community Center is located at 400 Alt Keene Road.
About the Largo Art Association
Founded in 1991, the Largo Art Association is a community of artists who gather every Friday from 10am to 2pm in an open studio setting at the Largo Community Center. Members have access to studio space for drawing, painting, pottery, sculpting, and woodworking, along with free art supplies, coffee, and tea. For $70 a year, prorated at under $6 per month, members can enjoy access to the studio space; canvasses, paints, and other art supplies; and monthly art lectures/workshops. LAA Secretary Kathleen Farrell describes the LAA as “a very diverse group that encourages people to really begin to understand that all of us have art in our hearts. We have people that come in here that have never done any art, and they end up doing amazing things.” If you or someone you know is interested in joining the LAA, contact Conni Berns, LAA President at [email protected].
