Collage & Abstraction with Samantha Tagaloa is a creative workshop where you'll explore the art of transforming simple concepts into vibrant, abstract compositions. Using a range of materials and drawing techniques, you'll be guided by inspiring prompts to craft your own unique collage that encourages critical thinking and self-discovery. 

About Samantha Tagaloa

Samantha is a multi-media artist whose practice involves process-based investigations through drawing, painting, sculpture, and performance. Her work integrates with architecture, acting as both an obstacle and a guide for people navigating through the space. Her process is simultaneously laborious and reliant on accident and chance, echoing the process of self-discovery. She uses repetition and an emphasis on color interaction to convey the phenomenological nature of human emotions – how they are fleeting and silent; yet monumental and entirely subjective.

Compound’s Art For All is a series of hands-on workshops that teach various artistic mediums and encourages a new way of making art that’s fun and engaging for the whole family. Participants will be able to learn drawing, collage, painting, performance, sculpture, ceramics, music-making, and much more.
