About this Event
The Sacred Flow of Roots is an immersive art show exploring the lives of African American women during and after slavery. Through photography, sculpture, and film, the exhibit highlights how slavery impacted their relationship to religion, personal autonomy, and food. Each piece reflects the resilience, creativity, and spiritual depth of these women, honoring their stories and reclaiming their sacred flow. Visitors are invited to reflect, connect, and witness the legacy of strength and survival that continues to shape Black womanhood today. During the exhibition, food will be served and a silent bidding will begin once doors are open and end before the live performance.
