Art Exhibition Opening - DISPLACEMENT
About this Event
We warmly welcome you to 'DISPLACEMENT' an art exhibition opening at The Kota Alliance.
WHO GETS TO CALL A PLACE HOME?
'DISPLACEMENT' creates space for women artists connected to Harlem to document, question, preserve, and reinterpret the histories unfolding around them.
DISPLACEMENT centers the voices of mid-career women artists from Harlem responding to a neighborhood—and a world—in constant transformation.
Through art, we examine what is lost, carried, remembered, reclaimed, and rebuilt when people and communities are displaced.
Curated by Ruthy Valdez in collaboration with The Kota Alliance.
When home shifts, what remains?
We invite you to join us for an evening of art, connection, and reflection.
