About this Event
Join Angelina Lippert, executive director and curator of Poster House in New York City, as she discusses the emergence and evolution of Art Deco poster art. Explore the advertising campaigns that gave birth to an entirely new visual language and opened up a glimpse into the ever-changing realities of early 20th century life. Referencing examples from SAM’s exhibition Art Deco: The Golden Age of Illustration, Lippert highlights how designers successfully combined regional avant-garde styles to form the first truly global art movement.
