Art at the Market: No-Peeking Contour Drawing

Draw what you see, but don’t peek at your picture! This is a fun way to practice line drawing using inspiration from the market. Our abstracted still-life artwork will be finished in watercolor; this is a fun 30-minute activity for all abilities!
About Art at the Market
Art at the Market is a new community art initiative taking place at the Melrose Farmers’ Market this summer in collaboration with Follow Your Art Community Studios. Supported through grant funding from the Melrose Cultural Council and the Mass Cultural Council, the program will bring free, hands-on art experiences to the market, inviting community members of all ages and abilities to create, connect with neighbors, and express creativity through simple techniques.

How it works:
- Sign up for a 30-minute time slot to complete your project.
- Workshops are designed for all ages, however children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult and fill one spot together (caregiver and child work together on one project).
- Participation is free, but donations are welcome to support Follow Your Art’s Arts for All program and the Market’s SNAP Match program.
