Get ready to experience Napa Valley like never before! On February 22nd and 23rd, the valley will transform into an open-air gallery as 40 life-sized sheep sculptures, placed at 40 locations, each adorned with original artwork by local artists, are displayed throughout downtown Napa. This vibrant showcase, Art Around Napa, is hosted by Julie Eppich of Eppich Arts. 24 merchants - including galleries, tasting rooms and hotels are also hosting 24 individual artists, showcasing their works as part of this unique community art program.
The event will feature a silent auction of these uniquely designed sheep, created by 40 different artists. The auction kicks off on February 22nd, from 11 AM to 6 PM, with bidding remaining open through Sunday March 30 where the sheep will be on full display as a flock at Copia as part of the Napa Valley Mustard Celebration. You can start exploring the sheep and their locations via an interactive map at Art Around Napa Interactive Map and place your bids online at SHEEP Around Napa Silent Auction. The auction site will be viewable starting February 14th, with live bidding commencing on February 22nd at 11 AM.
Among the featured artists are renowned Napa talents like Jessel Miller and Nick Cann, showcasing a wide array of styles and inspirations. In addition to the auction, friends, family, and the community are warmly invited to join all of the artists on Saturday, February 22nd, at 6 PM in the Historic Clinton District for an evening of celebration, connection, and artistic appreciation.
Proceeds from the auction will directly support the artists, as well as three community nonprofits - Children’s Museum of Napa Valley, Hope Academy and Moving Forward Towards Independence, supporting local art initiatives, artists and community programs, making this not just an art event, but a celebration of community and creativity.
