Rhythm as Memory: An Introduction to Afro-Diasporic Drumming and Dance
An immersive one-hour introduction to West African and Afro-Cuban drumming and dance traditions. Rooted in the rhythms of the diaspora, this interactive session blends live drumming, movement, and cultural storytelling, inviting participants to experience rhythm as a living form of cultural memory.
Free and open to the public at ACG, 48 N Pearl St, Downtown Albany, NY.
