Join us at HumanKind for Art After Dark. Stop by and enjoy the vibrant art of Local artist Tyler Ellison who will be exhibiting at HumanKind for the first time. Also enjoy the classic rock tunes of Mark Ruffing and friends from the band Different Animals.
ARTIST BIO: Tyler Ellison
Tyler Ellison is a palette knife artist based in San Luis Obispo, California. A Landscape Architecture graduate of Cal Poly SLO, he continues to find artistic inspiration from the Central Coast landscape, often capturing the region's golden sunsets, iconic peaks, creeping mists, and rolling hills in his original work.
He creates his paintings using only a palette knife, a style aimed at capturing the interplay of harmonious colors, organic shapes, and the fluid dynamism found in nature. Tyler's oils are a reflection of everyday experiences in his Central Coast backyard. The pieces are typically memories—from walks with friends and sunrise hikes to unexpected drives through beautiful sunsets and quintessential views of the gloriously ordinary.
Tyler's most recent collection of paintings includes a series of large dusky skies in muted pastel colors; these pieces will be on display at HumanKind alongside a handful of other selected works. He will have a few 8x10 prints and an assortment of Central Coast greeting cards available for purchase at the Art After Dark event.

MUSICIAN: Mark Ruffing and Friends
Guitarist and singer Mark Ruffing from the local band, Different Animals, will be performing with friends. They will perform the band’s classic rock songs, plus some covers.
