Ars Saxophonica 2026

We’re inviting you to take part in Ars Saxophonica – an international saxophone competition and festival taking place on 10th and 11th of June 2026 at the House of Music in Bratislava.
The competition features three categories (Jazz, Chamber music, Crossover) and four levels (Junior, Youth, Non-professional Adult, Professional) so players of different styles and experience can all find their place.
You can look forward to the lecturers and jury members in the following lineup:
Stefano Bedetti (Italy)
Wayne Escoffery (USA)
Kristóf Bacso (Hungary)
Stephan Lerchbaumer (Austria)
Erik Rothenstein (Slovakia)
Besides the competition, you can look forward to accompanying events!
On the first evening there will be a concert of Stefano Bedetti & Friends and networking jam session at Bukowski Bar 2.0, on the second day we’ll close the event with a concert of the winners.
Each participant will receive a voucher for a free technical check by a certified technician and there will also be an opportunity to try out dozens of saxophones of brands such as Selmer, Rampone&Cazzani, Yamaha and RYU saxophones.
Winners will receive prizes including 300 EUR vouchers for professional saxophone purchase, repair discounts and the opportunity to play a club concert at Nu Spirit Bar in collaboration with the cultural institute of the winner’s country.
