GABi TÉA – Live Painting

GABi TÉA (Gabriella Téa Ugarkovic) is a passionate visual artist working fluently across screenprinting, drawing, and painting. Her creative journey began in childhood with a deep love for drawing, evolving from realistic graphite work to more expressive styles, then expanding into painting in 2017 and printmaking in 2018—including monotype, etching, block prints, and self-taught screenprinting since 2020.
Through experimentation, trial, and self-teaching, she blends precise line work with bold, tactile textures and vibrant color to capture landscapes, portraits, and emotional narratives that convey light, atmosphere, and personal storytelling. Featured work Lattingtown Creek embodies her luminous landscapes: serene golden-hour marshes rendered in thick, vibrant impasto with rippling waters, swaying reeds, and hazy horizons that evoke tranquility and depth. Her broader practice includes dynamic graphite and charcoal studies, expressive painted scenes, and striking screenprinted editions that translate her visual language into graphic multiples.
For this exhibition, GABi TÉA presents Lattingtown Creek as a centerpiece and will perform a live painting demonstration, inviting audiences to witness her intuitive process of layering texture, color, and light in real time.
