Linguistics professor Louise Banks (Amy Adams) leads an elite team of investigators when gigantic spaceships touch down in 12 locations around the world. As nations teeter on the verge of global war, Banks and her crew must race against time to find a way to communicate with the extraterrestrial visitors. Hoping to unravel the mystery, she takes a chance that could threaten her life and quite possibly all mankind.

Arrival is based on the 1998 novella Story of Your Life by Ted Chiang, winner of the Sturgeon and Nebula Awards, and premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2016. It was selected by the American Film Institute as one of ten “Movies of the Year.” The Guardian rated it the third-best film of 2016. Critic Catherine Shoard said that it "amounts to something transcendent; something to reignite your excitement for cinema, for life.” Numerous other publications and websites, including The Atlantic, Blastr, and Digital Trends named Arrival the best film of 2016.

• This event is FREE to attend. You can check-in at any entrance to the Bowl.
• Doors open at 6:30PM
• Plan to arrive early. Pack snacks, bring layers and a blanket (especially if you want to sit on the grass!)

• We encourage walking, biking, and carpooling. Bike racks are available onsite.
• If driving, street parking is available. Please follow local street signs.
