Around the Island 2026 -- an Alameda New Year's Day Tradition!

Island Yacht Club will host an open house at Alameda Marina (1829 Clement Ave., Alameda) from noon to 4:00 p.m. on January 1. We'll be serving up some tasty bites, mulled wine, hot cider, and good vibes. All are welcome to stop by!

New for 2026 -- weather permitting, our Commodore Chris Carlson will lead a paddle-out to start the day. Grab your kayak (or paddleboard) and meet at Alameda Marina, Dock 2 at 8:00 a.m.

Aeolian YC, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. -- serving their famous Gin Fizzies and breakfast burritos

Alameda YC, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. -- serving chili and cornbread with drink specials

Ballena Bay YC, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. -- serving Levy's bagels, mimosas and Bloody Marys

Oakland YC, noon-4:00 p.m. – serving clam chowder bread bowls and Bloody Marys
