We are so excited to share this concert with you all!!!!
This program combines original compositions by Nakai Weeks alongside our own TRIO arrangements of music by The Beatles, Louis Armstrong, and Queen.
Nakai’s music pushes Aaron and my capacities as multi-instrumentalists to the maximum, as we switch instrumentation between movements from violin and piano, to two violins, to piano four-hands, and then reversing that order. The program also includes improvisation, poetry, singalongs, and moments of complete spontaneous energy.
Aaron and I first met Nakai while studying together at SUNY Fredonia, and from the very beginning, our mutual value of the present and unique perceptions of life formed this unspeakable beautiful energy between us. This is the gift deserving to be freely given!!!
This may not be “classical concert.”
Yet it is certainly alive.
Free improvisation, maniacal energy, joy for life, audience participation, original composition, and music spanning generations all brought together into one evening.
