Arnold Gross (1929-2015), Hungarian graphic artist and painter was renowned in his homeland and abroad for his unmistakable style and innovative techniques. To commemorate the 95th anniversary of the artist's birth, we have the honor to present the exhibition "Arnold Gross 95: Travels Through Real and Imaginary Lands", courtesy of Gross Archives Budapest. The exhibition showcases a selection of Gross drawings, prints, and engravings that depict memories of the artist's childhood home; landscapes inspired by his travels in Hungary and abroad, including in Bulgaria; as well as scenes from his imagination. Many of the works on show were made with the colored engraving technique that became synonymous with his name.
The exhibition opens on Thursday, November 20, at 18:00 at the Gallery of Liszt Institute Sofia, with a guided tour by András Gross, the late artist's son and manager of the Gross Archives.
