About this Event
Army Combatives Program: Knife, Level 1 – Hunter Valley
This 3-hour crash course in knife awareness, tactics and skills was designed for soldier-survival as part of the Australian Army Combatives Program used by the ADF.
The fact is, most people need very little training to dramatically increase their chances of survival if confronted with a knife assault.
To that end, former Commando Sergeant and creator of the Australian Army Combatives Program (ACP), Paul Cale, developed this course to better equip front-line personnel with the skills to 'survive knives'.
The course, officially known as 'ACP Clearing Knife – Level One', covers knife manipulation and defence techniques, leaving you with a practical understanding of how knives are used in violent attacks, and how to counter the prevalent assault tactics and techniques. It is essential fast-track training for those who may face knife threats in their line of work and/or living environment.
Paul knows his stuff. He’s been a bouncer, social worker and Special Forces soldier, who’s been shot at, bombed, bloodied and assaulted with blades. He was a team leader for Australia’s top counter-terrorism unit, TAG–East, and has taught special operations teams around Australia. For more than a decade, he’s also been the Army’s top Subject Matter Expert on hand-to-hand combatives.
Paul now teaches the public because he knows this is information that society needs, right now. And, because he can — he’s been there, and survived. He’s trained for the worst, been through it, and trained thousands of others for it, too.
Now it’s your turn: take the rare opportunity to train with the guy the government goes to for close-combat solutions!
Over three info-packed hours, you will discover professionally proven survival principles and tactics, which are:
- adaptable to any martial art or professional operational procedure
- suitable for civilians & front-line operators, from beginners to professionals
- backed by Cale’s 25+ years of career military experience & 45 years in martial arts and self-protection
