With over 17,000 islands rich in history, culture, and natural wonders, Indonesia offers an incredible blend of beauty, tradition, and everyday life that’s sure to inspire. Our “tour guide” for the day, Chelsea Middendorf from Eagle Pointe Place Senior Living in Dubuque, Iowa, is thrilled to lead this immersive experience. Drawing from stories and cultural insights, Chelsea will guide us through the serene beaches of Bali and the awe-inspiring temples of Java. Along the way, we’ll discover the rhythms and colors of traditional festivals, dances, and customs, including the intricate art of Batik and the fascinating world of shadow puppetry. Chelsea will also share what everyday life looks like in cities such as Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Ubud, and give us a flavorful glimpse into Indonesian cuisine. Come explore with us—no luggage or passport required! This program is for older adults, but all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Armchair Travel programs will be held on the third Tuesday of most months from 1 to 2 pm.
