Argonaut & Wasp is the Brooklyn based band known for their infectious grooves, catchy vocals, and explosive live performances. Formed by a chance meeting in a dorm room, they have grown to become a NYC mainstay, selling out residencies and rooms like Elsewhere, Rough Trade, Music Hall of Williamsburg, Bowery Ballroom, etc. “All across the country, dancers are boogieing to the clang of guitars and singing along to original vocal hooks like it’s Manchester circa 1983, but in NYC, it’s Argonaut & Wasp supplying the infectious hooks.” – BILLBOARD.Their debut album “STARLIGHT 99” was released in 2021 after spending much of 2020 quarantine writing & producing. Featuring tracks like “Monacillo”, “Composure” featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday, and “Dog Days” (prod. by Jarrah McCleary), the LP has become the band’s defining sound. With an “80’s flare that will undeniably bring you to your feet” and “will have you searching for your bell bottoms and looking for someone to hit the nearest disco with.” – LADYGUNN.
Since the inception of the band, they have toured extensively playing shows spanning their roots in the northeast as well as the nation. A&W has joined fests across the country such as SXSW, Summerfest, Wonderstruck and the like, and supported acts like Benny Sings, Miami Horror, Bag Raiders, The Palms, Giant Rooks and Autoheart among others. With now multiple national headline tours under their belt, mostly recently in Fall ’22 with support from Hembree, A&W has become known for their energetic & dynamic live show.
W+Co. was born from the creative partnership of lead singer/guitarist John Torres and bassist Ian Tait, two longtime friends united by a shared love of roots-inspired indie rock. Their musical bond, forged over years of collaboration and conversation, blends heartfelt songwriting with a deep appreciation for classic Americana and modern alternative sounds.
In 2022, the duo entered Tarquin Studios with drummer and producer Kurt Leon, whose intuitive approach and rhythmic sensibility helped shape the band’s early sonic identity. Together, they began crafting songs that echo the textured beauty of artists like Sufjan Stevens, My Morning Jacket, and The War on Drugs—fusing layered instrumentation with lyrical introspection. As the vision expanded, so did the band. W+Co. soon welcomed Gianni Leito on lead guitar, RĀNE on vocals, & guitar, and Itamar Gov-Ari on keyboards.
With this dynamic and seasoned lineup, the band found its voice—a rich, collaborative sound marked by deep chemistry, emotional depth, and a shared commitment to musical exploration.
