Argentine Tango Dance Workshop in Chico CA

Join us for a beginner-friendly Argentine Tango Workshop in Chico on Friday, November 15th, 2034! 💃🕺 Anyone can learn this dance and we encourage everyone to give it a try! ~ Yes, even those with two-left-feet are welcome here.

Which class should I take? We are offering 2 class options for different levels of dancers, make sure to choose the class that makes sense for you! Absolute Beginners are encouraged to take the Intro to Tango class at 6:30pm and stay for the practica till 9:30pm. More experienced dancers are encouraged to take the Level II class in conjunction with the practica. Get a full polish on your tango technique and musicality by attending the whole workshop from 6:30-9:30pm!

* We encourage ALL students to bring a pair of cotton socks to class. Light snacks and refreshments are provided.

𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞: Friday, November 15th 6:30pm-9:30pm

6:30pm - 7:30pm 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨
This class is perfect for anyone who has never danced Argentine Tango before and for those who are looking to refine their basics. 𝒀𝒆𝒔, 𝒕𝒘𝒐-𝒍𝒆𝒇𝒕-𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆. We will be covering the simple and basic steps of Tango while guiding you through the fundamental body mechanics for partner dancing! Level 2 dancers are welcome here as well. No partner needed.

7:30pm - 8:30pm 𝐀𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐈𝐈 - Pattern Work
In this class, we will dive into a fun Argentine Tango pattern for dancers with some previous experience. We highly recommend taking this class in conjunction with Level 1 and the practica. No partner needed.

8:30pm - 9:30pm 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚 (𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞)
A practica is a great place to practice with dancers of ALL levels. As opposed to a more formal event such as a "Milonga", a practica is an informal event where dancers focus on practicing. Dancing with partners of varying levels is a great way to see what's working and what's not. Teachers are floating around the room to offer help as needed.
