By the end of this 6-week course, you will have a base understanding of the key principles that form Argentine Tango: The Walk, The Embrace and Musicality. By the end of the 6-weeks, you will be creating your own dance.
Drop-in OR Pay for the 6-weeks
~Mondays at 19:30~
All lessons will be guided to both the leaders and the followers responsibilities in the dance
28th October : Introduction to Tango, the 3 basic pillars and your first Walk/Steps in the Tango Embrace
4th November : The Concepts of Leading and Following, The Embrace and Walking together
11th November : Where and how you can walk in relation to your partner
18th November : How to turn corners
25th November : Making the walk pivot whilst in the embrace
2nd December : Musicality and Improvising : Musicality can be drawn from anywhere - its your choice, but to help you get started, I will show you some things in Tango Music that can guide us.
~Is this for me?~
If you have no experience what-so-ever in in dance, All we need is your energy and willing.
If you have a little experience of Tango and want to re-immerse yourself in the basics.
~What do I need to wear?~
Anything comfortable. Sneakers are fine, the less grippy, the better, but really not important at this stage.
~How much will it cost me?~
€10 per class per person - drop in
OR
€45 for the 6 week series. I advise that you do all 6 weeks if you are starting or returning. You will get the most out of this course by completing the series.
~Who am I?~
I am Dani (she/her) and I started dancing in 2012 with the express view to do shows. That didn't happen because, I fell in love with social tango. My teachers were Portuguese and I moved here to be closer to them at that time. Now I am teaching beginners whilst still following my own path of discovery. I also DJ and organise some Tango events
Language will be based on the people attending.
English and Portuguese spoken
