The next Tampa Jazz Club concert at HC’s Mainstage Theatre in Ybor City will feature an exciting new collaboration – The Arenas, Lasky & Nash Project – in a celebration of the songs of Burt Bacharach. ‘The Bacharach Book’ has been received with great acclaim in several venues including the Suncoast Jazz Festival, and will be presented in the Mainstage Theatre on Sunday, February 1 at 3 p.m. as part of the HC Visual & Performing Arts Series.
Vocalist Allison Nash, Bassist Alejandro Arenas, and pianist Simon Lasky came together last year, discovering their musical chemistry and a shared love for the distinctive songs of Burt Bacharach. Together, they bring his music to 21st-century listeners, interpreting and re-inventing these much-loved songs with a jazz sensibility. And some jazz standards and original pieces round out the program.
Join us for a delightful afternoon with three of the Bay Area’s finest musicians – it’s ‘The Bacharach Book’ on Sunday, February 1, at Ybor’s Mainstage Theatre.
