The Area Career Exploration (ACE) event connects over 600 students from 12 area schools with 100+ local businesses for a day focused on career awareness and workforce development in southern Minnesota.
ACE gives businesses the opportunity to showcase career options, engage with future talent, and build awareness of local job opportunities available right here in our communities.
Why Participate?
By taking part in ACE, your business can:
• Connect directly with students exploring career options
• Promote your industry and career pathways
• Share insight on skills, education, and training needed in your field
• Recruit for summer jobs, internships, or permanent positions
• Support workforce development in our rural communities
Event Overview
• Sophomores complete a career interest survey prior to the event
• Students meet with businesses aligned to their interests and career clusters
• Two rotating sessions:
– Business & career exploration booths
– Interactive Career Game Show in the Performing Arts Center
Each student leaves with resources, contacts, and a clearer understanding of career opportunities available locally.
