Join Highwire Improv for a Winter Workshop Series - 6 teachers, 6 topics, plenty of opportunities to tune-up, try new things, and meet fellow improvisers!
Each workshops is a standalone 2-hour event; $25 each!
This session is Are You Ready? with Misty Letts - in this workshop we'll drill the key things you need to get a scene off to a roaring start:
- Checking in with your scene partner
- Establishing base reality
- The 'handshake' of playing a game together
About your instructor:
Misty Letts (she/they) stepped into the improv pool 7 years ago and has not looked back. She got her footing at Baltimore Improv Group (BIG) through curriculum and workshops from various BIG instructors, digging into opportunities to learn from talented performers including Don Fanelli (UCB), Kate Zelensky (UCB), and Travis Charles Ploeger (iMusical- WIT). She has also enjoyed playing with Maryland Improv Collective and can presently be found camped out on Highwire’s front stoop. Misty can be found on two wheels tooling about town, so drive carefully!
About the Venue:
The Highwire Center is Highwire Improv's home base in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore! Part of Highlandtown Main Street and the Highlandtown Arts District, The Highwire Center is home to classes, free workshops, shows, community events, corporate training, and more! The Highwire Center is accessible, with ramp access available, an ADA restroom, and flat transit throughout the space.
