A 2025 GRAMMY® Award winner for Best Instrumental Composition, Akropolis Reed Quintet's Are We Dreaming the Same Dream? is a "tour-de-force" (I Care If You Listen) that masterfully blurs the boundaries between classical, jazz, and contemporary music. Inspired by Ralph Ellison’s concept of "the unity of American experience," composer Pascal Le Boeuf deconstructs his own musical DNA—tracing the influence of icons like Geri Allen, Dave Brubeck, and Leonard Bernstein.
Performed by a powerhouse hybrid ensemble featuring the Akropolis Reed Quintet, pianist Pascal Le Boeuf, and drummer Christian Euman, this concert experience asks a vital question for our time: what are the strands that form our collective identity, and are we truly dreaming the same dream?
