ARCHIVE TOUR DATE!Gathering & informal archive tour discussion with stakeholders in ISEA1994/2004 Archive held by Minna Tarkka/M-Cult until 2024, recently given to Aalto University Archives.
This will be an informal occasion to identify, see/hear, tell about different values that are created in giving associational archives across to institutions to host, manage and take care of. For example, what it offers pedagogy and research.
Pixelache Helsinki is interested in this topic as they lead the post-MEHI (Media Art History Finland) process in 2025, and prepare their own materials towards institutional archive hosting.
It is the ambition to also start a discussion about organising a public event in January 2026, in hope of cooperation with Aalto Archives & Studios, Dept. of Art & Media, and AvoinGLAM.
