Learning Tarot is a massive undertaking. There's a lot of cards to learn, and each card has all kinds of nuances.

Join Megan from Tizzy's Treasures, who's been practicing Tarot off and on for twenty years, for an intensive exploration of Tarot from many angles.

This class will cover:

• History of cartomancy in general and Tarot
• Misconceptions about Tarot
• Tarot etiquette
• Definitions
• Deck structure, broad strokes of card meanings, stories within Tarot, and some tricks to learn the meanings of cards
• Shuffling, spreads, and a few different tricks to try when reading a spread

We'll also have a bunch of opportunities to practice aspects of reading Tarot, so you'll need to bring your deck along! (The class will focus on the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot system, but you will still get a lot out of the class if you bring in a Marseille or Thoth deck. Less so for oracle decks.)

This will be a long day, so we will take a lunch/snack break in the middle.

All attendees will take home a packet of informational pages, including cheat sheets for card meanings, and recommended reads.
