Level 1 & 2 Instructor Certification - Practical Course - Official Instructor Certification Course of USA Archery, NFAA and ASA.
Instructor Bob Ryder - Level 4-NTS Coach, 20yr Head Coach of the JMU Archery Team, 4 Time National Coach of the Year, Past National Champion, Past All-American, Recipient of the Maurice Thompson Medal of Honor, Past National Judge, Tournament Director of over 50 National Championships and International Team Trials.
Assistant Instructors in the Course are: Andy Puckett, Level 3-NTS Coach & Head Coach of the JMU Archery Team; Darryll Diehl, Level 3-NTS Coach & Assistant Coach of the JMU Archery Team; and Zane Rigney, Level 3-NTS Coach and Owner/Operator of Archery on Demand (Winchester, VA).
This Practical Course is for Instructors or Coaches who have passed their Level 2-NTS Online Course are 18 years of age and are ready to complete their Level 2-NTS Instructor Certification. Upon completion of Certification you will be: 1) Qualified to Instruct Level 1 Instructor Certification Courses; 2) Qualified to serve as the lead instructor for long-term archery programs such as Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD), Adult Archery Program and Collegiate Archery Program clubs, and the Explore Archery Program; 3) Eligible for USAA insurance coverage. Your level 2 certification will be valid for 3 years.
Certification Requirements - 1) Membership in USA Archery, National Field Archery Association (NFAA), or the Archery Shooters Association (ASA); 2) USA Archery Background Screening; and 3) Safesport Training.
The course content includes activity in the form of shooting and coach/pupil exercises, lectures, discussions, demonstrations & video, as well as a practical test.
