Archdiocesan Poetry Contest 2026: Celebration of Winners

Join Catholic Literary Arts, the sponsor of this contest for young writers, to celebrate the 2026 Archdiocesan Contest winners. This year’s contest theme asked writers to compose poems in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

These youthful poets bring skills and faith to the task of creating original poetry that moves the heart and touches the soul.

Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Mazie McCoy, Secretariat Director & Superintendent of Catholic Schools.

The physical location is Jones Hall, University of St. Thomas, Houston, TX, 77006. Parking may be available on the adjacent streets. A parking garage is located at the intersection of West Alabama and Graustark streets.
