About this Event

We’ll be hosting Archaeology in Action at Cove Spring Park (Lower) from 10am-12pm. This event caters to students from 3rd – 5th grade, but all are welcome.

Archaeology In Action provides an opportunity for children between third and sixth grade to learn more about the practice and science of archaeology, by working through artifact documentation and inquiry. During this activity, children will work within units in a grid-system to learn the significance of looking at artifacts within the context of the site in its entirety.

This activity is a staged surface survey, meaning we will only be working with items found on the ground surface. We do not dig.
