Want to be an Archaeologist?
Learn the practical skills of excavation, recording and identification used by archaeologists.
We will have three burials (not real ones!) for you to excavate under expert supervision.
Handle real Anglo-Saxon objects!
Archaeology for Kids is a one-day workshop for 7-13 year olds with a passion for history.
• The day school will run from 11am to 3pm with an hour for lunch which is not provided.
• Wheelchair friendly – please let us know in advance.
• Max group size 8
• Please arrive 15 minutes before the start.
• Children will be digging in soil – please ensure they wear suitable clothing.
• One parent or guardian must stay with the child.
• One Parent or Guardian accompanies free of charge. Additional “guests” can enter for the standard Anglo Saxon Village entry fee (bookable online or on the door).
• Parking at West Stow Country Park, see charges online.
Times: 11am-3pm.
Tickets: Child £16 (includes one free accompanying adult). Non-participating children £4.50, Additional Adults £7.50 payable on the day.
