Glass Fusing Workshop for Home Educated Children (Ages 8+) - SEND Friendly
Join us for a creative and supportive glass fusing workshop designed specifically for Home Educated children aged 8+ and their parent/responsible adult.
This small-group session will be led by myself, a qualified teacher and experienced SENCO. Activities will be adapted to support a wide range of learning needs. The focus will be on creating a calm, inclusive space where every child can explore, create, and succeed at their own pace.
What to Expect
- A gentle introduction to glass fusing techniques (approx. 15 mins)
- Guided hands-on creation time (approx. 60 mins)
- A relaxed sharing and reflection session (approx. 15 mins)
- A supportive, SEND-aware environment tailored to individual needs
- Tea and coffee will be provided for accompanying adults.
Each child will design and create their own unique fused glass piece of art that will be kiln-fired after the session.
After the Workshop
Your child’s finished piece will be:
- Carefully kiln-fired in my studio after the session
- Safely packaged
- Posted directly to your home within 7 days
Postage is included in the ticket price (approx. £3.50 per family)
Ticket Price: £25 per child
This all-inclusive price covers:
- Specialist glass materials
- Use of professional equipment and kiln firing
- Expert teaching from an established Glass Artist who is also a qualified teacher and experienced SENCO
- A small, supportive group experience
- Packaging and postage of the finished piece
- Refreshments for accompanying adults
Attendance
- Children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult
- Adults do not require a ticket unless they wish to create their own piece alongside their child.
Cancellation Policy
Due to the 'small-group' nature of this workshop, limited spaces, and the preparation and costs involved:
- Cancellations within 48 hours of the event are non-refundable
- Refunds are not available for non-attendance on the day
- If you can no longer attend, you are welcome to transfer your place to another family (BUT please notify me in advance)
Places are limited and are predicted to be in demand. Late cancellations mean that other families on the waiting list may miss out so please check your diary carefully in advance of booking.
