Arbor Day 2025 with UF/IFAS Extension Hernando County

January 18, 2025, the UF/IFAS Extension Hernando Co. office will conduct its annual Florida Arbor Day Tree Workshop and free tree giveaway at the Master Gardener Nursery (19490 Oliver Street, Brooksville). If you would like a free 3 gal. Bluejack oak tree, you need to register in advance here on Eventbrite (there is a limit of 48 for this event) and will have to attend a brief online class on how to properly plant and care for trees. The class will be live on Zoom January 13 at 10:00AM, but if you can’t attend live, we will send you a link to watch the recording. We will send a link to the online session before the class. Then just stop by our nursery on January 18 between 8:30 AM and noon to pick up your free three-gallon Bluejack oak tree, check out the specials at the nursery and visit the informational booths we will have!

Important- in order to receive a free tree, you must register here on Eventbrite and there is just one tree per registration. Trees are limited and must be picked up at our nursery on January 18, 2025.
