The IHCCO cordially invites you to join us as we gather and commemorate Arbaeen (the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hossein) on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Community Cultural Centre (CCC) located at Unit 8, 58 Antares Dr, Ottawa, ON K2E 7W6.
The program will include the recitation of Ziyarat Arbaeen, an open discussion on the Hodhodnameh series, mourning rituals, congregational prayer, and refreshments.

“Hodhodnameh” is an independent literary and artistic series created for Muharram 2026 at the Imam Hossein Cultural Centre of Ottawa. It was designed, produced, and performed live during the nights of Muharram by local volunteers.
The series is an attempt to create a dialogue between the experiences of people today and the meanings embedded in the event of Ashura, to promote human and ethical values. It is a narrative of life in migration, while one’s heart remains bound to the suffering, losses, and painful events of the homeland; an effort to connect these experiences with the truths that continue to live in the historical and spiritual memory of Muharram.

«هدهدنامه» در یوتیوب
«هُدهدنامه» مجموعهای مستقل، ادبی و هنری است که به مناسبت ایام محرم ۲۰۲۶ در مرکز فرهنگی امام حسین (ع) اتاوا طراحی، تهیه و به صورت زنده در شبهای محرم اجرا شده است.
این مجموعه تلاشی است برای گفتوگو میان تجربههای انسان امروز و مفاهیم نهفته در واقعه عاشورا جهت ترویج ارزشهای اخلاقی و انسانی؛ روایتی مستقل از زیستن در مهاجرت، در حالی که دل همچنان با رنجها، فقدانها و حوادث سرزمین مادری گره خورده است؛ تلاشی برای پیوند دادن این تجربهها با حقیقتهایی که در حافظه تاریخی و معنوی محرم زنده ماندهاند.
