We’re looking for a Parade Committee Lead and Committee Members to help plan and run the 79th Annual ARAS Parade scheduled for June 14th (Father's Day Weekend). This event is a long-standing Ardrossan tradition, and we need a dedicated group to bring it to life in 2026.
**The meeting to gather a committee will take place on Wednesday October 22nd at 7 pm at the Ardrossan Memorial Hall.**

Key details to know:
ARAS will continue to sponsor and support the parade, but the committee will take the lead on planning and organizing.
You’ll be responsible for decisions around the parade’s logistics, timeline, budget, and overall direction — with occasional check-ins with the ARAS board.
Monthly meetings may not be necessary, as the focus is just on the parade (no picnic this year).
We’re also considering simplifying the float judging, possibly down to one main award for “Best Theme Execution.”
Deadline to form the committee: November 22, 2025
If we’re not able to put a full committee together (including a lead) by this date, the parade won’t go ahead in 2026.
