Arabia Mountain Super Bowl (Championship) Hike!

The Arabia Championship Hike is a 20-mile trek through the entire Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve. With a total ascent and descent of 2000 ft, this hike is designed for outdoor enthusiasts seeking an intense and rewarding challenge. Participants will experience the preserve’s full diversity, from granite outcrops, to meadows, and even wetlands.

Hiking Route:

Our carefully planned route eliminates backtracking, ensuring every step takes us in a new direction. The hike is divided into three segments, each looping back to our starting location. This structure provides participants with two opportunities to exit the hike early without needing assistance to return to their vehicle.

Pace: 2-3 miles per hour (our starting pace will be closer to 3 miles, and we'll slow as the hike progresses).

• Wear moisture-wicking, weather-appropriate layers.
• Comfortable, broken-in hiking boots are essential.
• Bring a hat and gloves if it’s cold
• Extras as preferred: sunglasses & sunscreen

Gear:

• Pack Only Essentials! We want to travel light
• Water
• High-energy snacks
• A packed lunch.

Optional:

A hiking stick/pole will be helpful. We have wood sticks available to lend (first come first serve).

Health and Safety:

• Stretching when you wake up in the morning will help prevent cramps later in the day.
• Eat a hearty breakfast to fuel your energy.
• Let guides know if you have any medical conditions or concerns.

Mindset:

This is a challenging hike; listen to your body and communicate with the hiking guide if you have any concerns.
