Arabia Alliance Reads with Hannah S. Palmer

Arabia Reads is thrilled to welcome local author and artist Hannah S. Palmer to Black Dot Cultural Center on Saturday, January 11! Don’t miss Palmer reading from her latest book, The Pool Is Closed: Segregation, Summertime, and the Search for a Place to Swim, published by LSU Press in October 2024. The Pool Is Closed is about water: where it flows and where it floods, who owns it, and what it costs. It’s also a story about embracing parenthood in a time of environmental catastrophe and political anxiety, of dwindling public space and natural resources.
