Spring on the Western Slope means it’s time for another outstanding selection of horses and mules at the Montrose County Fairgrounds April 11th, 2026. This sale will feature a fabulous group of ranch, rope, and trail horses and mules from reputable consignors across the nation. Highlighting the weekend is the 2nd Annual Women of the West Special Session, where 25 horsewomen will showcase a riding horse they have trained in the heart of the auction. Applications for special session spots open January 1st, 2026, and only the best 25 will be taken. All catalog horses may be previewed throughout the day on Friday, followed by a consignor meet and greet. Saturday kicks off with the formal announced preview with cattle. Regular catalog consignments will be open February 1st – March 20th. Each horse must be represented with high-quality photos.
