April Sound’s premier annual fundraising event. This multi-day event includes several options to participate and help change lives. Choose from Texas BBQ Dinner, Golf Tournament, Or Tennis, and Pickleball Tournaments. Every opportunity to participate will be for a meaningful cause as we raise money for individuals in need. All funds raised will go to support April Sound Church’s Helping Hands Foundation and April Sound Country Club’s Employee Care Foundation - with the primary recipient being Helping Hands.

This evening includes:
Texas BBQ Dinner, Musical Entertainment,
Silent Auction, Live Auction, and a 50/50 Raffle.

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 21 | 1PM
This tournament is a four-person scramble with a 1PM shotgun start. The first 40 golfers to register receive a complimentary mulligan and drink ticket as an early-bird special. Cookout on the back patio is included the day of the event.

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 21 | 3PM
Each player will receive a registration gift and dinner the same day on the Club’s back patio with their entry. The first 20 registered players receive a complimentary drink ticket as an early-bird special.

What is Helping Hands?
Helping Hands is a ministry founded by members of April Sound Church in the 1980s. In 2008, it officially became a 501(c)(3) charity named Foundation for Lake Conroe Helping Hands, which is currently the outreach arm of April Sound Church for local missions. Local missions include the Community Assistance Center (people in crisis), Miracle City (the homeless), Hope for all in Jesus (prison ministry), Coat of Many Colors (food pantry), and other ongoing needs. Our local outreach is dedicated to fulfilling the historic and traditional “works of mercy” from Christ’s teachings in Matthew 25:36-37:
“35 For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger, and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes, and you clothed me, I was sick, and you looked after me, I was in prison, and you came to visit me.”
Through Helping Hands, we focus on those 7 imperatives: (1) Feed the hungry, (2) Give drink to the thirsty, (3) Clothe the naked, (4) Shelter the homeless, (5) Care of the sick, (6) Visit the Prisoner, (7) Care for the widow and the orphan. Together, these form the Church’s historic works of mercy and, therefore, are at the heart of Helping Hands.
This work happens right here in Montgomery County.
