Impact: Collecting toiletry items for our church bathrooms and products to supply local schools in need (soap, toothbrush/paste, deodorant, etc.)Alexis Horne is a dedicated community leader, educator, and mental health advocate who is passionate about using her voice to inspire hope, healing, and awareness. After the tragic loss of her younger sister, Aubrey Genesis, Alexis turned her grief into purpose by becoming a strong advocate for mental health awareness and suicide prevention. In honor of Aubrey’s legacy, she continues to promote kindness, open conversations, and support for those facing silent battles.
Alexis is certified in Mental Health First Aid through Johnston Community College, equipping her with the training to recognize and respond to signs of mental health challenges and crisis within her community. She believes that education, compassion, and faith can work together to break the stigma surrounding mental health.
As a mother of three daughters and a woman of faith, Alexis is committed to creating safe spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported. Through her message of resilience and hope, she encourages others to lead with love, check in on one another, and choose kindness daily.
